Picture Books About Community Heroes

This summer we're talking about different kinds of heroes, from superheroes to the heroes in our families and communities. Story time this week is all about community heroes, including our own wonderful Sgt. Reese from the Evansville Police Department. He'll be sharing the book Police Officers on Patrol with us and we're very excited that he'll be visiting!

For more picture books about some of the heroes in your community, check out this blog post from 2014: http://efplblog.blogspot.com/2014/08/books-about-community-helpers.html

Chapter Books about SUPERHEROES!

In April, we featured a list of picture books about superheroes to celebrate our “Every Hero has a Story” Summer Library Club theme this year. Today I wanted to highlight some chapter books in the library system that have a superhero theme.

We hope you’ll join us for a summer of fun reading, learning, and playing at the library!
