Calling all book lovers! The Friends of the Library are hosting a HUGE used book sale this Friday August 6th from 9:00am to 5:00pm and Saturday August 7th from 9:00am to 1:00pm. The event will be held in the lower level of the Grange Building at 19 W. Main Street in Evansville. The sale will include over 3,000 titles for adults, young adults and children with a mix of fiction and nonfiction. (Please note that no book donations will be accepted during the event.) Interested in getting more involved? The Friends of the Library are looking for people who love books and want to support the library's ongoing programs for children and adults. They would like to update their list of library friends who are able to help them continue their mission.
You can help by:
- Coming to fundraisers like the recent Ice Cream Social Car Hop, this Book Sale and the Pie Sale in November
- Helping with event planning or the events themselves
- Joining the Friends of the Library Board, which meets monthly to plan events to raise funds for library programs that help bring the community together
