Laughter is the Best Medicine

Everything we hear lately seems to be pretty heavy, so let's lighten things up a little bit. March is International Mirth Month. Allen Klein, who the movie Patch Adams was based off of, founded Mirth Month as a way to remind people to always try to find the humor in situations. Sometimes when things seem especially stressful or bleak, finding something to laugh about can really benefit you. This month we have books and movies aimed to tickle your funny bone on display. Here are just a few suggestions to get those giggles started.

The Princess Bride
Rush Hour
Napolean Dynamite

Whisk Takers Cookbook Club

Starting in March we will be offering a cookbook club! Do you want to try new foods or techniques? Are you terrible at cooking? Are you a seasoned pro? Do you just want to socialize and eat yummy food? If you answered yes to any of the above, then join us on Wednesday March 18th at 6:00pm!

Here's what you do:
1. Ask for and check out a copy of
The Can't Cook Book by Jessica Seinfeld.
2. Sign up to bring a recipe from the book.
3. Bring your dish to share and discuss!

"If you find cooking scary or stressful or just boring, Jessica has a calm, confidence-building approach to cooking, even for those who've never followed a recipe or used an oven. Jessica shows how to prepare deliciously simple food - from Caesar salad, rice pilaf, and roasted asparagus to lemon salmon, roast chicken and flourless fudge cake. At the beginning of each dish, she explains up front what the challenge will be, and then shows you exactly how to overcome any hurdles in easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions."

If you enjoyed this cookbook, take a bite out of one of Jessica Seinfeld's others:
