The Eager Free Public Library is participating in this year's NEA Big Read. This program is possible through a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. This community reading project is taking place throughout various parts of the state, and it allows for the community at large to participate and engage in discussions related to a common read. This year's book is The Round House by Louise Erdrich.
Louise Erdrich is the author of novels, poetry, children's books, and short stories. The Round House won the National Book Award for Fiction (the 2017 winner was Sing, Unburied, Sing). This award is an American literary prize that has been awarded to authors such as William Faulkner and Ralph Ellison. Eligible books must be written by an American citizen and published by an American publisher. For more information on the National Book Award, visit http://www.nationalbook.org/.
Some of Louise Erdrich's novels are listed below. Check one out today!
