Choose Kindness 💗

"In a world where you can be anything, be kind." That quote is forever relevant but man, is it important to remember right now. Everything around us is different and there is no normal anymore. This can make us feel stressed and have a short fuse. So, just try to remember to take that extra deep breath, shake off your frustration and simply be kind. It's not hard and it can make all the difference.
There are so many books for children, and adults too, that touch base on this. Here are just a few that you could read to help you choose the path of kindness.

Once Upon a Time...

As you probably already know, this year's Summer Library Program is called Imagine Your Story. This includes a wide variety of subjects, one of which is fairy tales. Fairy tale retellings have become pretty popular over the last several years. These can be perfect if you need a magical escape from the real world or maybe want to read your favorite tale from the villain's perspective.
If you also still believe in 398.2 (the call number for fairy tales in the Dewey Decimal System), then give these a try! Please don't be turned away by the Young Adult label because these modern takes on fairy tales are perfect for adults too.
