I am a huge fan of Marissa Meyer's Lunar Chronicles, so when her new book came out, I knew I had to read it. Meyer's latest, Heartless, is the origin story of the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland. Did you ever wonder why the Queen of Hearts was such a terror? Heartless tells us the story of Catherine, a talented baker who has no interest in becoming a queen and what happens to change all of that.

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll - This is where Wonderland begins. Alice in Wonderland was published in 1865, and in 1871, Carroll published the sequel, Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There.
