The June Antemeridians book for discussion is How To Find Love in a Bookshop by Veronica Henry. Henry grew up as an army child which resulted in her attending many different schools. She attended Bristol University and worked as a Production Secretary and script editor before turning to writing. She has written 19 novels and has written for newspapers and magazines.
How To Find Love in a Bookshop follows the owner of Nightingale books, Emilia Nightingale, who inherited the shop after her father's death. As the story progresses, Emilia is approached by property developers pushing for her to sell the business, and she struggles to avoid the temptation to sell as she promised her father she would keep the store alive. Along the way, we meet many loyal customers and learn how the bookshop has played a role in their lives.
