It's time for World Cup! The FIFA World Cup, or World Cup, is an international soccer competition by teams belonging to the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA). This tournament occurs every four years. This year's tournament is being held in Russia. Germany is looking to repeat as the champion after winning their fourth title at the 2014 tournament.
In order to compete, the teams must qualify. The qualification process consists of international matches throughout the three years leading up to the World Cup. This results in 32 teams competing in the tournament. The tournament consists of a group stage in which teams then advance to the knockout round.
