ELIZABETHAN ENGLAND

The Elizabethan era is the time in the Tudor period of England during the rule of Queen Elizabeth I.  It is often depicted as the golden age in English history.  During her reign, there was an increase in poetry, music, and literature; this is when William Shakespeare composed his plays.  This time also saw some peace between the Protestants and Catholics.
